Do you know how it feels to have a part of you and your childhood died with the passing of a music legend whom you have been listening to since you were just a kid way before you attend school?

It hurts. A whole damn lot.

I was wide awake at the time (it was about 6am for Singapore time) when I refreshed the page on Yahoo when they updated with the news. I really thought it was a false report and then the more news pages I visited, the more devastating the reality hit. And then I went to sleep, crying, and I woke up and refused to on the TV or radio or anything with news. But when I checked my email, the news were all right there. I practically spent the entire day randomly having tears falling from my eyes, beyond my control, until I went out yesterday evening with my friends for dinner. And when I look around my surrounding, it's scary how life goes on, no matter what...

He may not be my biggest idol or a family member or whatsoever... but he was a big part of my music influences and more importantly, I understand his personal struggle with his skin disease. It is NOT FUN at all to turn into a different skin color so drastically beyond your wish. I wish ignorant people would just stop making jokes about it already because it's extremely rude and cruel...

And I have to say... I am very fortunate and honored to be in the same lifetime when he existed.

"Moonwalker" still remains as the most watched DVD that I owned.
I will never forget how his songs like "They Don't Care About Us", "Childhood", "Heal the World", "Earth Song", "Rock with You"...etc impacted me.
I will never forget how his 1995 performance at MTV VMA floored me.
1983, Billie Jean performance... has a special meaning for me.

There will never be another Michael Jackson...

To quote someone, "He was ... a barrier breaker." In many areas which we could only dream of breaking. You're irreplaceable and your music and dreams will be with us for generations and centuries... and forever.

RIP and Thank You for Everything, MJ.
